What is the timeframe between registration and relocation?

• Registration fees for NCLEX and verification of identity, guidance and study material is $400.
• American Credential Evaluation Service: $365 (paid after registration for exam confirmed.)
• Registration with board of Nursing :$150 (This gets you the ATT)
• Exam scheduling fees and certificate: $200 (paid 4- 6 months after exam registration).
• Fingerprinting $60 + Packaging & Postage $40.

Do I need my school of nursing or university transcripts?

• You need your transcripts stating the courses and practical training programmes you took with scores clearly stated.

How do I prove that my training was done in English language?

• A letter from your institution of training on letterhead and school stamp stating that all trainings undertaken in English required.

Do you offer help with tuition towards passing the NCLEX examination?

• Yes, we have American-trained nurses who will give face-to-face tuition in Nigeria. We also have access to NCLEX-review materials which our candidates can use to prepare.

Is there a difference in process for nurses with BSc degree and those with school of nursing qualification?

• No, all nurses have to get their credentials evaluated and go through the same process.

Can a newly qualified nurse enrol?

• You need at last two (2) years professional experience as a nurse to apply. However, those with one year professional experience can contact us for preparation and guidance.

Who can relocate with me once I get my NCLEX examination?

• Spouse and children under the age of 21. This could be your adopted(with official proof of adoption) or biological children.

Can I carry out the whole process myself?

• We are a licensed company with the pre-requisites and operation-know-how. We work with US employing groups, your chances are increased with us.

What is the NCLEX EXAMINATION?

• The NCLEX exam is the National Council Licensure Examination which all nurses need to pass before you can practise in the USA. The exam is detailed, meticulous and broad based on all aspects of nursing. It is a multiple choice Computer Based Test which lasts for a few hours.[

Do I need IELTS?

• To get through recruitment programme as a nurse, an IELTS test is not required. However, before emigrating to the USA, the US immigration visa service requires a IELTS score of 6.5.

Are there hidden charges?

• There are no hidden or additional charges. All processes and costs are transparently stated on this site.

Travel costs to write the NCLEX exam?

• Candidates are responsible for the travel and visa costs to write the NCLEX exam. SWA Nursing Recruitment is able to support & facilitate the application process if required. Budget between $1000 – $1500 for your travel costs to write NCLEX.

How long does the process take?

It takes between 6 weeks to 6 months from time of application to the time you start work in the UK as a nurse.

Are there other hidden charges?

There are no hidden charges beyond your exam fees and registration with the NMC. Visa and flights are paid for.

Who can relocate with me when leaving?

Your spouse and children. However, they will bear the cost of their visa and flights not the employer.

How long is the job contract for?

Three years job contract and visa issued.

Can I write IELTS and CBT nursing skills exam in my country?

Yes, most commonwealth countries have the exam centres in-country. Find out from the British council office in your country.

How long does the process take?

• It takes about 1 year from time of application to the time you start work in Germany as a nurse.

Which exam do I need to pass to get a job in Germany?

• A Nurse needs to complete the B2 level of German language to place their application for assessment to the German Nursing Council.

Is the German language mandatory to work in German?

• Yes, you cannot work to get a job or obtain a visa without the language.

Is there a  German course center available near my location?

• German language courses are usually available in all Goethe Institute Center in Lagos and some other accredited German centers.

What are the steps to get a job in Germany as a staff nurse?

• Once the nurse passes the B2 level exam, your application pack will be submitted to the German Nursing Council for competency checking. Most of the BSc nurses with clinical experience, usually meet competency criteria. Once that is done the employer will provide the nurse with a sponsorship letter to apply for the Visa. The employer will provide a contract which is subject to the condition that the nurse passes the language exam (German).

How much Work experience is acceptable?

• A year’s work experience is required.

What are the required documents for the processing for Germany?

• Once you start the process we shall keep updating you on the next stage and the documents required.

Is there any payment needed to be done for German Registration?

• Yes. we charge an administrative fee.

Will I start working as a Registered Nurse immediately when I move to Germany?

•  You will start working as a nurse on arrival in Germany. Once you complete the B2 Level of German language and receive assessment  from the Nursing council in Germany you can start working as a Registered nurse.

Do the people in Germany understand the English language?

50% of Germans understand the English language. However, working in Healthcare it becomes mandatory to have good local language communication skills. Also, many elderly Germans do not speak English.
